LANSS Pain Scale
Neuropathic Pain Assessment
The LANSS Pain Scale (Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Symptoms and Signs) is a screening tool to identify pain with a neuropathic component. The scale assesses patient symptoms and clinical signs examined by the professional, resulting in a score that indicates the probability of neuropathic pain. A total score of 12 or more suggests a high probability of pain with a neuropathic component.
