NANDA International Nursing Diagnoses List
The NANDA Taxonomy is an internationally recognized system for standardized classification of nursing diagnoses, used as a reference by nurses in many countries. It supports the nursing process by offering official terms, standardized descriptions, and logically organized clinical criteria directly aiding the nursing diagnosis phase. This NANDA 2018–2020 version presents 13 domains, 47 classes, and 256 updated nursing diagnoses, covering human responses to health conditions and life situations throughout the life cycle. Its purpose is to guide clinical reasoning, improve decision-making, standardize professional language, and strengthen scientific, safe, and evidence-based care practice.
